Missed calls?
What about the helmet to helmet spearing DW took that knocked him out of the game?
Overall, I thought the officiating was decent (They did correct the Calvin Johnson 3rd down trap when they took it to review. It was pretty clear CJ trapped the ball into the ground when his overweight body came down on the pass ).

Seeing the replay again, that was a penalty. However, someone needs to get it into that kids head that he needs to get out of bounds or slide before a linebacker really takes his head off.
As far as "phantom" penalties, what do you expect. It was a Big 10 officiating crew and they do nothing more than throw flags every other play and provide make up calls when they realize they might have made an error. People hold on every play and they just determine when they feel necessary to call it.
P.S. Smardijza pushes off on every downfield pass. Great if he can get away with it, but illegal.

Not only did we have 400 yards of offense, but Rhema dropped what a sure touchdown pass, which led to one of those missed field goals. WIth that catch, and with a mad field goal, your final score would be more like 24-10. Big difference.

Wait...it gets better. i forgot these gems...
Harris' "Leg Whip"
The holding call immediately following the helmet to helmet (during which, BTW, Wheeler led with the helmet to the degree that it was the first part of him to touch Quinn--watch it on slo-mo)
The non-call on the hold on M. Richardson on Ball's sack.

CJ's catch hit the ground. Wheeler led with his helmet. Stop being a blind homer.
BTW, what of:
Rhema's phantom hold on Shark's long pass?
Harris' fantom hold in the 4th Q?
ND had 2 missed FGs and almost 400 yards of O. Tech was shut down in the 2nd half. This game wasn't as close as the score.

Any time you lead with your helmet it is going to be a penalty. That is a black and white call.

On the helmet to helmet call, notice Quinn lower his shoulder and helmet just before the hit. Those are the calls an All-American QB should get only if an All-American WR can get the catch that was denied to CJ.

Wheeler led with his helmet. What's controversial about that?
